Creating a Group

You can create a group from almost any set of objects from your LanFlow diagram using the Group feature.

To create a group

  1. Select a number of objects or existing groups. You can use the lasso selection to select objects within a rectangular area and/or use Shift-Click to add other objects to the selection.
  2. Choose the Group command from the Grouping submenu of the main Edit menu, or from the right click menu, or use the hot key combination Ctrl-G.
  3. The newly created group will now appear as a single selectable item.
When you create a new group, two changes will automatically take place to the set of objects making up the group. First, certain objects may be excluded or included despite whether they were selected or not; this occurs to preserve other relationships between objects. Also, the members of the group become re-ordered with respect to objects outside the group such that all objects in the group are immediately in front of, or behind one another. The objects within the group will retain their relative ordering so the re-ordering will rarely be noticed.
